Lani Hoge is a 24 year resident of Mill Valley, CA. She started her business 10 years ago and opened a Pilates Studio in Downtown Mill Valley which focuses on Post Physical Therapy Pilates. Lani also has a background in Industrial Design and Interior Design.
"I started loving ceramics in high school and couldn't get enough of it."
Lani has two lovely daughters who grew up in Mill Valley, and now has reconnected with her passion of her youth in the medium of ceramic hand building.
"I'm truly grateful to live in a community surrounded by nature and therefore, stive to incorporate this natural beauty as inspiration for my pieces."
Ceramics is a very inspiring art medium for me. Not only because of the endless possibilities which the clay offers, but because the mind and body are in natural synergy during the building process.
I'm truly immersed in the creative vision. Starting with a ball of porcelain clay one has the opportunity to essentially realize a concept into a three dimensional expression.
It shows how we connect to ourselves and the environment. My objective is to use my background in Industrial Design to create a functional fusion of nature inspired art and build it into something which has a practical and everyday use.
I am an artist with an open mind..... Send a picture of your desired project and description of your intended usage, and I will examine the possibility of creating your vision in porcelain.
